What are organisational segments?


Organisational segments provide a way to group your users, then filter and report on them. 

Set up automated course enrolments.

Arrange alternative course intervals.

Assign Segment Admins 


Examples:

  • By Department: Sales, Catering, HR 
  • By Location: London, Bracknell, Manchester
  • By Job Role: Manager, Maintenance, Supervisor

This is how to create an organisational segment within your account:


  • Click on Settings from left menu tab.



  • First to add a new segment go to the User profile fields section 
  • Then add the required profile name to Custom field
  • Click the Save changes button



  • Go to Settings and click on "Organisational segments" on the right side.
  • Next, click on "Add segment".
  • In the Segment title field give your segment a title identical to the one in profile field.
  • Click on the arrow below to open the dropdown menu.
  • Choose one of the existing custom profile fields required.
  • Then, choose the appropriate operator and variable.
  • If you want to add more rules, click on "Add rule".
  • Repeat the process of the rule set up.
  • If you want to remove a rule, click on "Delete".
  • Click on "Save changes".



  • After saving, you can assign users to this profile segment via the Users section Then refer back to Organisational segments to view the number of users included in each segment in the Users column.



Once segment created you may need to refer to this guide to review your course training intervals for each segment.

To delete a segment:

  • To delete a segment, click on "..." button and then "Delete".
  • Click on "Ok" to confirm the deletion.
  • Remember to also remove the custom profile field if it's no longer required and re-assign the users to another profile
