Username or email with +cs explained

Why do we have usernames or emails with +cs?

Each person needs their own ‘unique email address’ to be able to log into their account.

If someone is already using Atlas and their email is already in use on the Atlas system, we've added a 'plus + sign' to their real email where possible or assigned a username.

We've used +cs (cs stands for Careskills) example jobloggs@gmail.com will be jobloggs+cs@gmail.com

This creates an email sub account and is a widely used way of making a unique email, for reasons like this.
Their emails will still go to their email inbox; they just need to use the +cs version of their email to log in every time.

Unfortunately, the +cs workaround in emails doesn't work with Yahoo, Sky, AOL or BT and some other emails, as they don't allow the sub account function that other providers allow.

The alternative for these is a new email address or use the username feature.

Usernames must always be allocated a password by the Admin. Admins can allocate a password in the Users section, by selecting the edit button on the right of their name or uploading a spreadsheet for bulk usernames. There's an example of a password below.

Please advise those with Usernames to click this link and save it as a favourite in their browser:

www.atlas-hub.co.uk

Username:

firstname.lastname.number (is a standard format and easy to remember)

Password:

Changeme123*

They will then be asked to choose their own password to use moving forward.

This is how to make edits to many user accounts:
