This guide will help you to access your online training and then navigate to your courses, and successfully

complete your training.

Logging into your online training for the first time:

• You will receive a ‘Welcome’ email from Careskills Academy when you are added as a learner.

*Please check your spam and junk folders as automated emails from online systems can sometimes drop into these.

• Your welcome email will contain a link to the login page https://careskillslearning.co.uk/

• To access your account, type your email address and the password provided from the email, you will be invited to set your own password

*Passwords must be 8 characters or more.

• Save your account to your favourites once you have logged in or keep your welcome email so that you can login quickly every time.

• You can ask your device to remember your login details if it prompts you.

Accessing Your Courses:

On your ‘Home’ page you will also see your courses listed on the dashboard.

• The page is divided into 3 sections.

I. Training to Complete Now – this is the training that you need to complete.

II. Completed Training – this is training that you have completed and doesn’t need refreshing yet.

III. Completed One-Off Training – this is training that you have completed and don’t have to do again unless reset by your manager.

• To start your training, you simply click on the ‘Launch Training’ button of the course you wish to access.

The launch training button should take you straight to the course you have chosen.

You can revisit a completed course by selecting the ‘Revisit Training’ button.

Revisiting a course will not change or affect the original pass mark of that course.

Getting Started

When you access a course, you will see your course title page.

There are 3 lines top left (also known as a hamburger button) which provide access to the drop-down menu.

The Drop-down menu helps you navigate the course and gives access to the glossary, resources, and exit.

You can also find course navigation guidance in resources, by selecting the paperclip.

To start your learning and navigate through the pages of the course select the arrow on the right.

Once you navigate to the first page, the arrow on the left will become available which you can use to go back

and reflect on your learning.

Assessment

When you have completed a training course, you will be asked to take an Assessment, that will test your

knowledge and give you your pass mark.

• Select the green ‘Start assessment’ button to begin the assessment.

• The pass mark for all courses is 80%, which is shown to remind you and the number of questions in the assessment is also shown.

• If your score falls short of the pass mark, you can review your answers by clicking the dropdown box under your score.

• To retake the assessment, select the green ‘Retake assessment’ button at the bottom of the page.

Certification

• Once you have completed a course, your certificate will be generated by your Employer
